This pack contains themes for GTK (which supports: Unity, Gnome, Cinnamon, Mate and Xfce two themes dark & light for Gnome Shell, two themes for Cinnamon, two icon packs, cursors. There are some issues with 16.04 where it make some parts of the pack useless: 1) boot/splash we do not recommend you to install boot screen because there is a known bug for plymouth but we are still sharing, if you want to give it a shot; 2) Login screen, it is only offered for Ubuntu Unity and Ubuntu Gnome users but if you have multiple desktops then you can't choose and another known problem, if you remove lightdm-webkit then you will have blank screen, to solve this issue you have to install other display manager, so better to not install it. 3) Slingscold which is known as launchpad, it does work on some desktops but it may don't work for some users and you may see blank launcher. Themes used in this pack contains some parts from other sources credit also goes to these guys and other icon theme, some code from ) and Jared from helped us in making of this transformation pack by fixing bugs in themes. By following these instructions you can change look of your Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial to look like Mac. In previous packs we used LightDM webkit theme which looks quite similar to Mac OS X login screen, this time we are offering again but you have to install it on your own risk because we experienced a lot of issues after installing it (like: not able to login/blank screen). As you know guys we are doing Mac packs from quite sometime because such packs for Linux are almost stopped but we kept this project on our must do list from 12.04, and as you know we have reached to 16.04 with Mac transformation. LibreOffice 5.3 was released recently, and among its features is an experimental Microsoft Office style Ribbon toolbar layout. And you may be wondering how to enable it.
Install Google Chrome Easy Peasy. Well, we’ll show you how to enable the notebookbar toolbar in LibreOffice 5.3 in just a tick — first we need to recap why the feature is there in the first place. We need to talk about MUFFIN.
MUFFIN in LibreOffice is an acronym. It stands for ‘ My User Friendly & Flexible INterface’. You can see why we’ll just call it MUFFIN. Why you need to know about MUFFIN is that it, under the auspices of choice, introduces 4 different toolbar and panel layouts in LibreOffice applications. Among these is the we written about before, and a slim, simplified, single panel notebook bar that will appeal to fans of minimalism. “The MUFFIN concept is going to be available starting from LibreOffice 5.3 either as a standard or experimental feature: the Default UI (with toolbars), a Single Toolbar UI, the Sidebar with a Single Toolbar, and the new Notebook Bar (experimental),” on the project’s aim. Each layout is designed to appeal to a different subset of users. LibreOffice’s designers feel the one-size doesn’t make sense in a world where generational divides between users alter their expectations from office software interfaces.
Enable the Notebook Bar (aka LibreOffice Ribbon) With the boring background bit out of the way, let’s look at how to enable the Notebookbar (aka Ribbon ui) in LibreOffice 5.3. If you’re wondering why I keep specifying the version number it’s because the instructions that follow will only work in v5.3 or later. I’m also going to run through this guide using LibreOffice Writer )because it’s the only app in the suite I ever use) but it should (in theory) work exactly the same in other the rest of the suite too. Enabling the notebook bar UI (and the other new toolbars) is relatively straightforward, and only takes a couple of clicks: The first thing you need to do is ‘Enable experimental features’ in LibreOffice.
