The UOP fixes only issues with vanilla Oblivion and the USIP fixes only issues with SI. Don't forget the UOMP too if you run any of the official mods.

Thanks for the help. 09:59, 6 May 2008 (EDT) Order of installation of all the unofficial patches [ ] I have managed to destroy my Oblivion game. I am starting over, everything is unstalled. Does someone know of an order of installation that works best?

I have tried Oblivion, Official Patch, Unofficial patch, then Shivering Isles, unofficial SI patch, then all the KOTN mods, then the Unofficial Patch for those. The game will not start.

Any ideas would be appreciated. They can be installed in any order, but an important thing to remember is to make sure that there are no Unofficial Patch ESP's active if what they patch isn't there; they can be present just not checked in the launcher Data Files. So make sure that all of the active UOMP ESP's match the official 'DLC' mods that are there.

Ie If you have GoTY and the KoTN CD you will not have Battlehorn Castle unless you bought it or got the free download separately, so deactivate the UOMP 'DLCBattlehornCastle - Unofficial Patch.esp'. Otherwise this is a missing master situation and Oblivion will crash on launch or load. 10:21, 10 July 2008 (EDT) Hi! Upon reading this I thought that I finally had the answer! But I just tried it out, and no, it doesn't apply, because I don't have the patch for the DLC that I also don't have. Oh, and I'm not the person that started this topic by the way, just somebody with the same problem. Does anyone have any other ideas that we can try?

01:09, 4 March 2012 (UTC) Can you elaborate on exactly what problem you're having? My general approach has always been to install all the game content, including DLC, then official patches, then unofficial patches, then mods. It's worked flawlessly outside of the occasional mod conflict. – ↝ 03:35, 4 March 2012 (UTC) Avast and Shivering Isles Mod [ ] This is just FYI. Avast was incorrectly flagging the Unofficial Shivering Isles mod as infected.

I notified their support team and now it no longer does that:) Thanks for these amazing mods everyone! 15:28, 5 July 2008 (EDT) So now I know who to thank that they fixed their definitions. Thanks!:^) Kaspersky was doing this too. All of the Unofficial Patches use, a free installer package.

Some lowlife probably used Inno Setup to build a fake installer that pretended to install something good but installed a trojan instead, and the AV companies put the Inno code in their definitions rather than the trojan payload. I've had a bunch of phishing spams that say I need to 'upgrade my security certificate' at some bank (and of course it's for a bank that isn't even in this country) so I bet it was something like this. 10:16, 10 July 2008 (EDT) Skeletons in city temples [ ] I've moved the following comment/question from my talk page, in the hopes that it may be seen here by someone who could help this editor more than I. -- 00:38, 17 August 2008 (EDT) A bug question Obliv v1.2.0416 (and) Unofficial Oblivion Patch V3.0.1 Greetings, Here is the bug info Important If you need tech info for my installation of Oblivion and related software view my talk page under the heading Oblivion Tech Notes - O'Neill Brief description (for quick reference) City temples with skeleton marks inside Details.
